Former Missouri Golfer Gary Strickfaden is ranked #2 in the world in Golfweek's latest Super Senior Amateur Golf rankings. Strickfaden golfed at Mizzou in the early 1960s and helped the program to great success under then head coach Chauncey Simpson.
Strickfaden, who now calls Pinehurst, N.C., home, trails only Gary Shimmin in the world ledger.
The Missouri native recently retired as a Certified Public Accountant and earned his first major amateur event title in 2008 at the 23rd North Carolina Senior Championship.
