SCOUTING PURDUE
Purdue posted a 1-1 record during the opening weekend, securing a 1-0 win over Toledo on Aug. 19 and suffering a 3-0 loss at No. 13 West Virginia on Aug. 21.
Freshman Alex Hairston has the Boilermaker's lone goal this season, the game-winner against the Rockets. Sophomore Clara Kridler has played all but one minute in goal and sports a 1.51 goals against average.
Robert Klatte is in his 14th season at the helm of the Boilermakers and has a 147-99- 27 record with the squad.
LAST TIME OUT
Sophomore Dominique Richardson's lone second half goal combined with goalkeeper McKenzie Sauerwein's five saves lifted the Missouri soccer team to 1-0 upset over No. 7 Ohio State Friday night at Walton Stadium.
Richardson's game-winning goal came five minutes into the second half. Mizzou played a free kick into the Ohio State goal mouth that bounced around the box. The ball landed at the feet of Richardson, who unleashed a shot from the top of the box and past the Buckeye goalkeeper.
The shutout was the first of the season for the Tiger defense.
Missouri's win was the second in a row after last Sunday's 4-1 win against Eastern Illinois.
The loss was Ohio State's first of the season, as the Buckeyes entered this season on the heels of a co-Big Ten title and an NCAA College Cup appearance a year ago.
