Columbia, Mo. – The Missouri Women's Soccer program welcomes sophomore transfer Allison Hu, from St. Charles, Mo. The right-footed versatile defender played two seasons at Saint Louis University before joining the Tiger squad.

“Allison is a fantastic player with proven experience on the collegiate level,” head coach Bryan Blitz said. “I look forward to seeing the versatility she brings to an already talented back line.”

Hu started every game as a freshman and 16 in 2010. She was named to the 2009 A-10 All-Rookie team and voted the Bills' Newcomer of the Year. A standout student off the field, Hu made the A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll. She plans to study in the school of Health Professions with the hopes of joining the pharmacy program.

“It's awesome,” Hu said of becoming a Tiger. “I'm really looking forward to playing and can't wait to get started. In transitioning from high school to college, I have learned to play very physical and it's something I have gotten a lot better at.”

A St. Charles, Mo. native, Hu led Duchesne High School to the state crown her senior year. She was named St. Louis Post-Dispatch first-team All-Metro as both a junior and senior.
