May 19, 2011

Columbia, Mo. - Members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) have selected Missouri women's swimmer Dominique Bouchard to the 2011 Capital One Academic All-District 7 first team.

This is the first CoSIDA All-District selection for Bouchard (North Bay, Ontario, Canada). In her sophomore season, Bouchard was Missouri's first ever NCAA Championship runner-up in the 200 backstroke, an event in which she also set a Big 12 Conference and Championship record and won the Big 12 Championship title. Bouchard also qualified for the World University Games with her bronze medal finish in the 200 back at the Canadian World Championship Trials.

To be eligible for nomination to the Capital One Academic All-District Team, nominees must own a cumulative grade point average of 3.3 or better. Bouchard is now eligible for selection to the Academic All-America Team, which will be announced on June 7.
