Tigers Prep for Memphis

April 8, 2011

Columbia, Mo - The Missouri Tigers play their third match of the spring on Saturday, April 9 at 2:30 p.m. against the Memphis Tigers. The game is part of the Parkway West College Showcase, an event the Tigers partake in annually.

"This will definitely be a good test for us to see how our girls have progressed since playing SEMO two weeks ago," head coach Bryan Blitz said. "Memphis has a solid program. It's nice playing on some grass that isn't our own especially at a first-class tournament like this one."

Memphis is undefeated on the spring season, having just beat Alabama 1-0 on Sunday.

The College Showcase will feature the University of Missouri, University of Memphis, Quincy University, University of Evansville, Maryville University and Truman State. In addition, more than 30 different high school teams from four states will participate.
