COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Missouri Gymnastics program proudly announces the addition of Rebecca Johnson to the team for the 2012 season. Johnson will come to Missouri from Waukesha, Wis. where she trained at Midwest Twisters Gymnastics.

"We are excited that Becca has chosen to walk on here at Mizzou," Head Coach Rob Drass announced. "She possesses all the characteristics that we look for in our team members. She is a talented gymnast as well as an exceptional student. We look forward to all she can do here at Mizzou"

Under the direction of Jack and Lori Nettesheim, Johnson has competed at Level 10 since 2007. She was a Western Nationals Qualifier in 2005 and 2006, and she served as a Level 10 Nationals alternate in 2007 and 2008. In 2009, Johnson qualified for Level 10 nationals and the 2010 Level 10 National Invitational Tournament as well. There she placed fifth in the all-around and earned second place recognition on floor as well as fourth place honors on beam.

Johnson is currently an active member in her community as well as at her High School (Pewaukee), where she is an all-conference member of the volleyball team, a member of the honor roll, and has received the President's Education Award for three consecutive years.
