Columbia, Mo. ¾The University of Missouri Athletic Department and the Tiger Scholarship Fund invites MU alumni, fans and friends to meet with Head Football Coach Gary Pinkel, new Men's Basketball Coach Frank Haith and Women's Basketball Coach Robin Pingeton and other Tiger coaches, administrators and student-athletes when the Mizzou Caravan stops in Mendon, Mo., Thurs., April 28th.
Tiger Athletics will sponsor a reception and “Tiger Talk” that evening at Northwestern High School, located on Highway 11 in Mendon. Dinner will begin at 6:45 p.m., with the program starting up at 7:45 p.m. The cost is $20 per person, and includes the best smoked pork chop dinner in the Midwest, along with door prizes.
Pinkel will be on hand to recap the 2011 spring football camp, and provide a look ahead to the much-anticipated Tiger Football season. Haith, who was recently named the 17th basketball coach in Mizzou Men's history, will share his vision of the Tiger program going forward, while Pingeton, fresh off a promising debut season at MU, will recap her first year on the Tiger bench. The event will be emceed by Mike Kelly, the Voice of the Tigers.
