COLUMBIA, Mo. - After another successful outing at the Tom Botts Invitational last Friday, the Mizzou track and field program continues to be represented in the national top 25 rankings in three different events. Also, both the men and women finished the Invitational in first place. The men inched out Illinois for first place with a score of 158, 18 points higher than second-place Illinois. The women took first place over Indiana State with a score of 173, 33 points higher than second place.

Brian Hancock, a four-time All-American in the pole vault, highlights the Tigers in the national rankings as he checks in at fifth overall in the pole vault after clearing 5.36m (17-7), a mark set at the Tom Botts Invitational. Hancock's performance put him in first place overall in the Invitational.

Although Hancock boasts the highest national ranking of any Tiger, two other tigers rank in the top 25 as well. Senior hammer thrower Chris Holly sits in the Top 25, checking in at 21st in the men's hammer throw with a season-best mark of 62.07m (203-8), which he set at the Tom Botts Invitational last week. Holly's throw put him in third place overall in the invitational. This was Holly's best performance to date.

Sophomore shot putter Brooks Mosier also sits in the top 25, ranked 23rd in the men's shot put with a throw of 17.67m (57-11 3/4), which he set at the season-opening Missouri Invitational. Mosier also placed first in the discus throw with a mark of 52.59m (172-6).

Freshman Tre' Chambers is just shy of the Top 25 in the Men's 100m run after clocking a time of 10.37 in the Tom Botts Invitational. He earned Tom Botts Most Outstanding Male Athlete honors at the meet for his performance in that event and the 200m dash and 4x100m relay.
