Tatum Ailes Named Head Coach at Rock Bridge

Feb. 24, 2011

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Former Tiger and Big 12 Libero of the Year Tatum (Ailes) Anderson has been named head coach at Rock Bridge High School (Columbia, Mo.) as she replaces former Rock Bridge head coach Vicki Reimler, who retired following the 2010 season. Anderson was a key contributor on some the Mizzou volleyball program's best teams from 2004-07 and she was even named Big 12 Libero of the Year in 2005. She is one of the most dynamic defensive players in program history as she still holds the school record for career digs. She was also the first defensive players (DS/L) to be named to the Big 12 All-Preseason team as well.

Anderson will begin coaching the Rock Bridge girls team in the fall as Mizzou now has several connections to the team. In addition to the Anderson, Mizzou coaches Wayne and Susan Kreklow's daughter Allie plays for the Bruins and current early enrollee Niki Collier (Columbia, Mo.) - who will be a freshman with Mizzou in the fall - helped lead Rock Bridge to its first District Championship in 25 years last year.

Anderson still holds the Tigers' program record for career digs (2,017) and digs in a rally scoring single match record with 39 in the 2007 NCAA Tournament first round at Washington. Several of her records stood until last season, when senior libero Caitlyn Vann (Muncie, Ind.) broke several of her marks, including digs in a single season. But Anderson was a fan-favorite during her time in black and gold due to her feisty play and her leadership ability, traits that she will likely carry into her position at Rock Bridge.
