Austin, Tex.--The Big 12 Conference announced their Academic All-Big 12 Swimming and Diving teams this afternoon, and twenty-three Missouri athletes were honored for their academic achievements.
In all, 123 college athletes were named to either the first or second team for the conference. Nominated by their schools, the men's team had 23 first team members and six second team members, while the women's team had 70 first team recipients and 24 members of the second team.
First team members must have a GPA at or better than 3.20, while second team participants must have a 3.00 GPA or higher. All athletes must also have participated in at least 60 percent of competitions.
