The University of Missouri women's tennis team improved to 4-0 on the season with a 4-3 victory Saturday morning at Louisville at the Bass Rudd Tennis Center in Louisville, Ky.  With the team score tied at 3-3, the match came down to the No. 5 singles contest between Mizzou's Jamie Mera and Louisville's Amelia Harris.  Mera dropped the first set, 6-2, but rallied to win the last two sets, 6-2 and 6-4, to give the Tigers the win.

The Cardinals began the day by winning two of three doubles matches to take the doubles point and a 1-0 team lead.  Mizzou's No. 1 doubles team of Kaitlyn Ritchie and Mallory Weber claimed an 8-6 win.

In singles play, Mizzou won the first three matches to surge to a 3-1 lead, thanks to victories by No. 4 Maria Christensen (W, 6-1, 6-0 over Kaysara Mandry), No. 3 Marlen Hacke (W, 6-4, 6-2 over Becca Shine) and Ritchie (W, 7-5, 6-0 over Mandy Brown), respectively.

Louisville staved off elimination by winning two straight matches to tie the score at 3-apiece, setting up Mera for her win-clinching match.

The Tigers continue their road swing Sunday at Purdue, where they'll take on the Boilermakers in West Lafayette, Ind., at 12 p.m.
