Hey Tiger fans!

Right now I'm sitting on the bus on our way back from Iowa. We just got done with our meet against Iowa state. It was their Beauty and the Beast so there were a bunch of people in the stands who made a lot of noise and kept the energy up throughout the competition. It was a fun competition and we had a little group of fans ourselves which was really nice. I hope they know how much we appreciate it!

For the first time this season we started off on bars. Everyone hit their routine and went aggressive just like we've been practicing. After a good start on bars we were ready to keep it up and throw some good vaults. The vault was right next to the wrestling mats. Despite the challenge of having people screaming and cheering five feet away I think we did a great job focusing on ourself and getting the job done. We still have some stuff to work on but it's still early. Even though we didn't get the scores we wanted on floor, we shined. It looked like we had fun and enjoyed being out on the floor performing. The last event of the day was beam. It is always a challenge to end on the beam but I think we did an awesome job keeping the energy up and hitting routines. I'm so proud of my girls and I know that if we keep up the good work and continue to hit routines we will get the scores we want!

Now we're going to get a good night sleep, rest our bodies for the rest of the weekend and be back in the gym on Monday. We take the good from the meet, learn from our mistakes and use it as a motivation to keep working hard and get ready for the next meet in Texas next Saturday!
