Columbia, Mo. - The Missouri Soccer program announces the signing of Brooke Williams, a freshman from Missouri State. Williams, from Liberty, Mo., started 18 games for the Bears this past season, leading the team in goals, shots and game-winning goals.
"Brooke has the potential to make an impact this fall and I'm excited to see what will unfold during her time here as part of the Mizzou soccer family," head coach Bryan Blitz said.
Williams started all four seasons at Liberty High, aiding the team to four conference and district titles. She captained her team to a state championship her senior year, and was named All-state First Team for her 34 goals and 17 assists. She scored 104 goals during her career at Liberty.
"Growing up I always said I was going to Mizzou," Williams said. "It's kind of surreal now that I'm actually here. It's also nerve-racking because I'm starting over again. It's always been a dream of mine to play Division 1 soccer and I'm grateful for the opportunity."
