Columbia, Mo. -- The Missouri men's and women's swimming and diving teams kick off their second semester of competition with a bang this Saturday, as they travel to Minneapolis, Minn. to face the Minnesota Gophers. The meet begins at 12:00 pm.

The No. 25 women's team faces the No. 14 Gophers squad, the highest-ranked opponent Missouri has faced this season. Minnesota has lost only one meet this season, to No. 12 North Carolina. Returning all of their NCAA qualifiers from last season, Minnesota will provide a strong test for this energetic Missouri team.

In their first competition after the holiday break, the Tigers look to build on the momentum of their stellar first semester. In their last outing (a decisive victory at the Mizzou Invite), Dominique Bouchard sped to a new Big 12 Conference record time in the 200 backstroke, and the team set nine new University records.

The Tiger men will face a No. 13 Gophers squad, whose only loss on the season also came at the hands of No. 12 North Carolina. Six Minnesota swimmers have at least one NCAA "B" qualifying time this season.

Missouri's men return from break after a dominating Mizzou Invite performance, where they set four new University records and 14 Invitational records.
