Illinois Notes:
Illinois finished the season with a school record-tying 45 victories and an overall mark of 45-8.
Danielle Zymkowitz scored her 59th run of the season in the bottom of the first inning to even the game at 1-1. Her 59 runs are #2 in single-season school history, behind the 65 runs scored by Angelena Mexicano in 2008.
Ashley Fleming drove home her 42nd run of the year, which is eighth in school history.
Meredith Hackett launched her 16th home run of the season in the sixth inning. The round-tripper moved her into a tie for 2nd in school history with Angelena Mexicao and Shanna Diller. Mexicano owns the school record with 24 homers in 2008.
That homer by Hackett was the first hit for Illinois since it led off the second inning with a single.
Hackett had two of Illinois' three hits, for her 16th multi-hit game of the year.
Illinois recorded just two hits over its final five at-bats, including a leadoff single in the seventh.
Mizzou Notes:
Missouri advances to NCAA Super Regional play for the second consecutive season. The Tigers won the UCLA Super Regional en route to the College World Series in 2009. The Tigers will meet Oregon next weekend. Location of those games is still to be determined.
Missouri is 2-1 all-time vs. Oregon. The Tigers split a pair of games with the Ducks in 2004.
Missouri is now 3-0 all-time vs. Illinois and each of those three victories have come in postseason.
Missouri improved to 49-11 on the season and is one victory shy of the school record for wins in a season. Missouri won 50 games in 2009 en route to the College World Series.
Rhea Taylor scored her 61st and 62nd runs of the season. The runs scored moved Taylor into #2 in single-season history. She scored a school-record 64 runs in 2008.
Taylor also stole two more bases in the contest, pushing her season total to 45, which is #3 in school history. She needs just one more stolen base to move into second place on the school's single-season list.
Catherine Lee led Missouri with two hits, marking her sixth multi-hit game of the year.
Ashley Fleming drove home her 42nd run of the season. She is just five RBIs shy of the Mizzou Top 10 for a single season.
Kristin Nottlemann pitched another complete game en route to her third win of the Regional. She is now 22-7 this season. Her 22 wins are just two shy of the school's single-season Top 10.
In her 14.0 innings of work vs. Illinois Nottleman struck out 11 and walked just three.a
The complete game was her 13th of the year.
