
Mizzou Fourth After Opening Round of UNLV Invite

BOULDER CREEK, Nev.- Missouri turned in a score of 290 in the first round of the UNLV Spring Invitational in Las Vegas, Nev. and stand in fourth place. Mizzou is one shot behind third place Ball State and five back of second place Idaho.
UNLV leads with a first round score of 281.
Sophomore Hannah Lovelock led the Tigers in round one with a round of 70, putting her in a tie for eighth place in the individual standings. Starting on the back nine, Lovelock birdied the second and third hole she played. She also made a pair of birdies on the front nine, including one on her final hole of the day.
Senior Julia Potter is tied for 10th place with a round of 71 on Monday. Like Lovelock, Potter birdied her final hole of the day. Junior Lindsey Haupt carded a 74 and is tied for 29th, while junior Nicola Race is tied for 43rd place after a score of 75 and senior Michelle Morgan's opening round 79 puts her in a tie for 75th spot.
Sophomore Marissa Cook is competing in the tournament as an individual and shot a first round 79 and is in the group with Morgan tied for 75th place.
The second round of the UNLV Spring Invitational is set to begin Tuesday morning, with the final round scheduled for Wednesday.
