COLUMBIA, MO. - With just under a month until the regular season opens, the No. 13 Missouri Gymnastics team is inviting fans to take a peek at the 2011 squad. Friday, Dec. 10, marks the annual Black and Gold Intrasquad Meet in the Hearnes Center at 7 p.m.
Admission to the Black and Gold meet is free and live scoring will be available on MUTigers.com and the team's Twitter page (TigerGymnastics). The Mizzou gymnasts will also be signing autographs after the competition.
The meet will divide the team into two opposing squads, the Black and the Gold. The two teams will compete on each event together, in an alternating fashion.
Competing for the Black team will be senior Alex Gold, junior Allie Heizelman, sophomore Tori Howard, and freshmen Cathryn Aliceaacosta, Alex Skinner and Mackenzie McGill. The Gold team will feature junior Mary Burke, sophomores Sandra Ostad, Lauren Swankoski and Brittany Bendoff and freshmen Brittani Price,Taylor Medrea and Katelyn Trevino.
Missouri will begin its regular season at the Cancun Classic in Cancun, Mexico on Jan. 7 at 6 p.m. Fans can keep up with Mizzou Gymnastics on MUTigers.com and on the team's social media sites including Facebook and Twitter.
