Columbia, Mo. - Mizzou Basketball hosts its first formal outing of the highly-anticipated 2010-11 campaign on Thursday as the Tigers play the annual Black & Gold Game inside Mizzou Arena at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets for the yearly event are just $5 and proceeds go to benefit the Boys and Girls Club. Tickets will be on sale at the door through the Mizzou Athletics Ticket Office the night of the event.
Doors to Mizzou Arena open at 6 p.m. and fans can get autographs from this year's squad as they enter the concourse of Mizzou Arena. Parking at Mizzou Arena for this event is free to the public.
This year's contest will also be carried live on Mizzou All-Access. All-Access subscribers can go to mutigers.tv tomorrow night to watch the game.
Celebrity coaches for this year's Black & Gold Game have a campus flare. Student body President Tim Noce will coach the Tiger Black squad, while MU's Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, Cathy Scroggs, will direct the Tiger Gold.
The Tigers host their first exhibition game on Nov. 5 vs. Harris Stowe State at 7 p.m. The regular-season opener is scheduled for Nov. 18 at Mizzou Arena vs. Western Illinois as part of the 2010 Cancun Challenge.
