COLUMBIA, Mo. -- Senior outside hitter Julianna Klein (Keota, Iowa) is representing Mizzou as a member of the Bring It Promotions (BIP)/USA Developmental team this summer as the team is currently on a 10-day competition tour in Brazil. Klein is one of 12 players on the team and one of five outside hitters on the roster. The roster is comprised of some of the top NCAA volleyball players in the nation, including some of the top Division I talent in the nation.

The tour began on June 12th as the team arrived in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and began training in Itatiba. The team then played its first match in Itatiba yesterday and is playing in its second competitive match today (June 14) in Sao Paulo. The team will play two more matches in Sao Paulo before facing Brazil's national team in three matches from June 18-20 in Saquarema. The team will then have two days off in Brazil before heading back to the United States.

USA Volleyball's Tom Pingel has been a supporter of this Brazilian tour by Bring It Promotions for more than a decade and endorses the tour on the Bring It Promotions website:

"This is the 11th year that USA Volleyball has recognized a trip of this nature organized and managed by Bring It Promotions (BIP)," Pingel said. "The experience gained by the athletes and coaches simply cannot be obtained through domestic play. The USAV/BIP partnership has worked well in that USA recommends coaches and athletes for invitation and Bring It provides post-trip reports on everyone on the trip. I'm confident that the 2010 experience will equal or surpass those of past years."
