SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The Missouri men's golf team closed out play in the NCAA Southwest Regional, by recording a round of 306 on Saturday at the Carlton Oaks Golf Club in San Diego, Calif. The Tigers finished with a three-day total of 908, placing in a tie for 10th place.
Freshman Stuart Ballingall was the highest placing Tiger, finishing tied for 11th spot with a 54-hole total of 220 after carding a 76 in Saturday's final round. Redshirt freshman Jace Long finished in 53rd place with a final total of 229, while junior William Harrold and freshman Michael Garden were among a grouped tied for 60th place with three-round scores of 233. Sophomore Chris Johnson tied for 66th with a 236 score.
The Tigers' 908 score tied with Arizona for 10th spot, nine shots out of a tie for eight place. Oregon claimed the top honors with a three-day total of 870, finishing 10 strokes ahead of second-place Augusta State.
Cal State-Northridge's Nick Delio won the individual medalist with a 213 score, one shot ahead of Daniel Miernicki of Oregon.
