COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Missouri Tiger softball team earned one of 16 No. 1 seeds and the No. 9 seed overall in the NCAA Regional, which will be played in Columbia for the second straight season.
Joining the Tigers are Illinois, DePaul and Creighton. This marks the second straight season that Illinois and DePaul will join the Tigers in their portion of the bracket. Illinois comes with a record of 43-6 record, while DePaul stands at 38-16. Creighton rounds out the bracket after going 37-21 during the regular season. The Tigers come in with a 47-11 record.
The Big 12, SEC and Pac-10 conferences each had seven teams receive a bid to postseason play.
