Columbia, Mo. - The Big 12 Conference has announced its 2010 Winter Chick-fil-A Community of Champions, which honors one student-athlete from each conference institution. Senior grappler Maxwell Askren (Hartland, Wis.) was selected as the Missouri athlete, excelling in academics, community service, and leadership/sportsmanship.

Askren is a four-time first team academic All-Big 12 recipient, and routinely volunteers with the Columbia Wrestling Club.

Each institution of the student-athletes' are awarded $3,000 from Chick-fil-A for their outstanding efforts. The full list of the 2010 Spring Chick-fil-A Community of Champions can be found at Big12sports.com
