COLUMBIA, Mo. – The No. 6/5 Missouri (2-1) softball team will host a media day this Thursday, Feb. 18. The event will take place at the Devine Pavilion following practice at 4:00 p.m. CT, and will give media outlets an opportunity to talk to the players and coaches of the nationally-ranked squad before they head to Tucson, Ariz., to take on the No. 2 Arizona Wildcats (6-0)
The Tigers are coming off a series victory against then-No. 2 Alabama to open the season. Missouri took game one on Saturday with a dramatic 2-1 victory, and followed that up with a 9-0, run-rule victory. The defeat marked the first time that the Crimson Tide has ever been run-ruled in the Alabama Softball Complex, which opened in 2000.
Missouri's series with Arizona begins with a doubleheader on Saturday at 1 p.m. CT, and concludes with Sunday's contest, also scheduled for 1 p.m. CT.
