Hitting the pool for the first time in 2010, the No. 21 Missouri women's swimming and diving team put on a dominating performance defeating Arkansas last weekend, and now head north to face off with Big 12 foe Iowa State this Saturday. This will be the second time this year the women's team has faced off against the Cyclones, with the last time coming in the Big 12 Relays where the Tigers finished third and the Cyclones finished fifth.
Last Time Out
With 12 wins on the day, the 21st-ranked Missouri women's swimming and diving teams defeated No. 19 Arkansas in convincing fashion, 177 to 118 Saturday afternoon at the Mizzou Aquatics Center. Senior Colleen Gordon won three individual titles in the day, all setting personal bests and school records. Gordon took home the 1000 free title, clocking in at 9:54.00, besting her previous time of 10:11.44 she had in the dual against Texas. She won her very next race, taking the 200 fly title in 2:00.99, blowing away the competition that didn't even come close to her in the race by more than three seconds. That time now puts her at fifth all-time in school history. Gordon won her third title of the day, finishing first in the 100 fly, besting SEC-leading swimmer Yi-ting Siow in 55.07 seconds. Gordon wasn't the only Tiger earning mutliple victories, as Lisa Nathanson and Kim Jasmer also won two races each on the day.
The Meet
The Cyclones enter the dual at 7-1 overall on the year, with their last win coming from defeating in-state rival Iowa 167-133 in Ames last weekend.
