Hilton Garden Inn Eagle Invite Draws

Fort Myers, Fla. - The Missouri women's tennis team opens the 2010 spring season on Jan. 16 as they compete in the Hilton Garden Inn Eagle Invite at the Florida Gulf Coast University Tennis Complex. The field includes nine Division I schools including Florida A&M and University of Akron, as well as future Big Ten opponent Purdue. The tournament also includes a pair of nationally-ranked schools in No. 19 Arkansas, and No. 75 South Florida.
There will be seven singles' flights of eight player draws, and four flights of doubles. Representing Missouri in the No. 1 singles bracket is junior Mallory Weber, who is listed No. 15 in the ITA Central Region Rankings. She will face FAMU's Rachel Pye.
Tiger sophomore Jamie Mera lines up in Flight 2 singles and newcomer Andrea Lewis will represent Missouri in Flight 3. In doubles action, the Tiger pair of Weber and Mera will compete in Flight 1, Sofia Ayala and Kaitlyn Ritchie in Flight 2 and Kristen Bleakley and newcomer Maria Christensen in Flight 3.
Missouri begins its dual match schedule in Columbia on Jan. 23, taking on University of Memphis at 8 a.m. and Ohio State at 6 p.m. at Green Tennis Center.
