COLUMBIA, Mo. - Kate Harris, a reserve setter for last season's Mizzou Volleyball team, has been granted a full release by the Missouri coaching staff.
"Kate is a great person and we really enjoyed having her in our program," head coach Wayne Kreklow said in a statement. "We certainly hate to see her leave, but we also understand her desire to explore other opportunities. We all wish her nothing but the best."
With the departure of Harris, setting duties will likely now fall to incoming freshman Molly Kreklow. Kreklow, a 6-0 setter from Delano, Minn., is considered one of the top setters in the class of 2010 and has been a two-time member of the USA Youth National Volleyball Team. She was also named to the prestigious Under Armour High School All American First Team this past year and has won numerous USA Volleyball All American awards. She is one of only five setters on the ACVA/Under Armour High School All-America teams.
