- The official attendance was 55,573 (64,120 average home game attendance fifth largest ever).
- Most important stat of the day - on Friday evening (Nov. 20, 2009), at 6:04 and 6:07 p.m., Jackson Thomas Matter and Conner David Matter were born to Molly and Dave Matter, the MU beat writer for the Columbia Daily Tribune. Jackson weighed in at 3 pounds, 8 ounces, while younger brother Conner was 3 pounds, 6 ounces. The twins are certainly small in stature at this point, but they're doing well and will be in the hospital for several weeks. Molly is doing well, so the entire Mizzou Athletics family congratulates the Matters!
- The Tigers started off the game by paying tribute to 15 seniors. The 2009 senior class ties the 2008 senior class with the most wins in a four year period with a total of 37 wins.
- Senior wide receiver Danario Alexander passed Jeremy Maclin to set Mizzou's single-season receiving yardage record. Alexander, who entered the contest with 1,238 yards, gained 173 yards jumping pass Maclin's 2008 record of 1,260 with a total of 1,411 yards.
- Alexander also caught 11 passes to move into second place on the Tigers' single-season receiving list with 92 catches. He passed tight end Chase Coffman jumping from fifth place with 81 receptions.
- Jerrell Jackson has a very productive game surpassing his career single game reception high of six, with eight receptions. Jackson also had a career long reception with a 70-yard touchdown catch, over his previous long of 24-yards and at the same time tying his single-game touchdown record. Jackson had a career high total reception yards in a single game of 142 yards over his previous high of 78-yards as well.
- Michael Egnew surpasses his career long reception of eight yards with a catch of 11-yards. Egnew also tied his career game high of 11 yards.
- Alexander passed Jeremy Maclin's mark of 2,315 career receiving yards with 173 yards ranking Alexander third all-time with a total of 2,408 receiving yards.
- De'Vion Moore has a single-game best of 15 rushing attempts over his previous 10 attempts.
- Redshirt freshman Rolandis Woodland had a game best two receptions for 10 yards. Wodland finished third in Missouri's receiving list.
- Mizzou has a season best offensive total of 539 yards.
- With the win over Iowa State it makes the series between Mizzou and ISU 59-34-9 tying the most wins MU has over any opponent with their 59 wins over Kansas State as well.
- MU keeps its consecutive extra-point streak alive with four more extra points making a total of 233 consecutive PAT's.
- Blaine Gabbert sets a new single-game best with 12 rushing attempts for a total of 51 yards, surpassing his previous records of 10 rushing attempts and 44 rushing yards.
- MU had a season high of 50 rush attempts and 202 rush yards.
- Since going to the spread offense in 2005, MU now becomes 14-0 when possessing the ball for 31:00 or more with their win over Iowa State and a TOP of 35:55.
- First time all season MU has failed to score in the second quarter.
