COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Missouri women's basketball team participate in the 11th Annual Brewer Breakfast on Saturday, Oct. 24, to help kick off the day's Homecoming festivities. The event will begin with a free pancake breakfast at 8 a.m. in Brewer Fieldhouse, part of the Mizzou Student Recreation Complex, in the heart of the MU campus. The event is co-sponsored by the Department of Recreation Services and Facilities in conjunction with the Mizzou Department of Athletics.
The Tiger Wheelchair Basketball team opens the Brewer Breakfast with a scrimmage at 7:45 a.m., followed by the Mizzou women's basketball team at 8:15 a.m. The event will conclude about 10 a.m.
Because of the expected congestion on campus due to the Homecoming parade, fans attending Brewer Breakfast are encouraged to arrive early and park in the Virginia Avenue parking structure, located east of the Mizzou Student Recreation Complex.
Season ticket packages are now on sale for the 2009-10 home schedule, and have two exciting options this year. The Mizzou Spirit Pass gives the holder admission to each of seven Mizzou sports, including women's basketball, on a general-admission basis. In addition, women's basketball fans who wish to purchase a reserved seat for the season may continue to do so with the purchase of a basketball-only season ticket.
To purchase season or individual-game tickets, fans may stop by the Mizzou Arena Box Office, call 1-800-CAT-PAWS (573-884-PAWS in mid-Missouri), or buy online at www.MUTigers.com. The Tigers' lone exhibition game is Sunday, Nov. 8, against Central Missouri, and the 2009-10 home opener is Sunday, Nov. 15, against Northern Iowa at 5 p.m.
