Tigers Take Eighth in South Bend

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Mizzou finished in eighth place at the Fighting Irish Gridiron Classic this week at the Warren Golf Course in South Bend, Ind. The Tigers had a three-round total of 886, finishing one shot out of a tie for sixth place and just three shots behind fourth place.

Tiger redshirt freshman Jace Long led MU by claiming a tie for fifth place in the individual standings with a 54-hole total of 216. Long followed an opening round 68 with back-to-back rounds of 74.

Freshman Stuart Ballingall placed in a tie for 17th spot with a three-round total of 220. He carded the best round of the day on Tuesday for the Tigers, carding a 69.

Junior William Harrold tied for 24th place with a 222 score, followed by sophomore Chris Johnson had a three-round total of 229 and redshirt freshman Brad Moody totaled a 232 for the week.

Missouri is back in action next week, as it plays in the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate in Jonesborough, Tenn. starting Oct. 16.
