Columbia, Mo. – The University of Missouri men's swimming and diving program has finished out its recruiting class for the 2009-10 season, and the six-member class of standouts has been ranked as the 16th-best class of newcomers in the nation, according to www.collegeswimming.com.
Assistant Coach Chris Peters said that this class is very deserving of the national accolades.
“We're extremely excited about what our Men's class brings to the table,” Peters said. “I truly feel that they'll be a major factor in our constant effort in becoming one of the premier swimming and diving programs in the country. We look forward to incorporating them into what is already a talented and excited group of returning men and we look forward to helping them reach their dreams in goals both in the classroom and the pool,” he added.
The class includes a nice mix of in-state talent, with regional and international flavor thrown in, as well. The class consists of: Eric Blue (South Bend, Ind.), Vito Cammisano (Rockhurst, Mo.), Joe Hladik (La Grange, Ill.), Anders Melin (Karlstad, Sweden), Ryan Sellers (Wichita, Kan.), Yaniv Shnaider (Israel), Blas Yslas (Denver, Colo.).
