Missouri senior-to-be Julia Potter claimed the Indiana Match Play Championship this week at the Broadmore Country Club in Indianapolis, Ind. Potter defeated Julia Carmichael, 2&1 in the final match to win the title. Fellow MU golfer Michelle Morgan also qualified for the event.

Potter shot a 72 in the qualifying round to advance to the 16-person bracket. She defeated Kristen Cain, 4&3, Kristy Cardwell, 7&5 to advance to the semifinals. She then took a victory over Kelly Short in 21 holes to move to the Championship match, where she took down Carmichael.

Morgan carded a round of 73 to qualify for the 16-person field. She won her first match, defeating Kristi Pipenbrink in 26 holes, before falling to Short 4&3 in the quarterfinal round.
