Columbia, Mo. – University of Missouri Head Swimming Coach Brian Hoffer recently finalized the latest recruiting class for his women's program, and the efforts of the Tiger coaching staff haven't gone unnoticed. Mizzou's 11-person class of newcomers has been ranked as the 11th-best in the nation, according to www.collegeswimming.com.
The publication said that Mizzou's state-of-the-art facility (Mizzou Aquatics Center) is paying great dividends in the recruiting battles. “…Missouri continues to capitalize on their beautiful new Aquatic Center and this year landed swimmers from two of the state's marquee clubs…”
Hoffer was pleased about the ranking and what it potentially means for the future of the program.
“It is fun for our program to be recognized for our recruiting class,” Hoffer said. “We worked really hard to replace our outstanding senior class and I am proud of our staff and athletes that made this a possibility. We look forward to coaching these student athletes when they arrive on campus this fall,” Hoffer said.
