Becca Godman has singed a National Letter of Intent to join the Mizzou Women's Golf team, as has been announced by MU Head Women's Golf Coach Stephanie Priesemeyer. Godman is a senior at St. George's Independent School in Memphis.
The America Junior Golf Association's Polo rankings have Godman ranked sixth in the State of Tennessee and No. 191 nationally. She was the Memphis National Golf club Girl's Junior Champion in 2006 and 2007.
Godman took second at the 2008 Tennessee State Tournament and won the 2008 Regional Tournament.
"Becca came on a campus visit to Mizzou late last fall and really loved what we had to offer her as a student and as a golfer," Priesmeyer said. "She is a strong athlete with a lot of great golf ahead of her at Mizzou. She is also an extremely dedicated student, earning well over a 4.0 GPA in High School. Becca will be a great addition to our team and we are excited she chose Mizzou to call home for the next four years."
In addition to her work on the course, Godman has a grade-point-average of 4.3 and is a member of the National Honor Society.
