Mizzou's Matt Lawrence Competes In State Farm Three-Point Competition

Columbia, Mo. - Missouri senior guard Matt Lawrence will put on the Missouri uniform one more time. The St. Louis, Mo., native was invited to participate in the 21st annual State Farm College Slam Dunk and Three Point Championships this Thursday (April 2) at 6:30 p.m. CT at the Palace of Auburn Hills in Auburn Hills, Mich.

Lawrence will participate in the three-point competition. He finished his career #2 in Missouri history and #8 in Big 12 Conference history with 244 career three-point makes, including 82 three-pointers during his senior season.

The event will be televised (on a tape-delay) on ESPN this Thursday beginning at 8 p.m. CT and will last approximately two hours. For Tiger fans in the Detroit area, tickets are available through ticketmaster.com and start at just $10 ($5 for kids and students).

Competitors in the three-point shootout include: Craig Moore, Northwestern; Matt Lawrence, Missouri; Jimmy Baron, Rhode Island; Erik Kangas, Oakland; Booker Woodfox, Creighton; John Grotberg, Grinnell; Alex Ruoff, West Virginia and Jack McClinton, Miami.
