
Mizzou Finishes Fourth at Mary Fossum Invitational

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Missouri women's golf team opened its 2008-09 season by claiming a fourth-place finish at the Mary Fossum Invitational in East Lansing, Mich. The Tigers carded a final round 307 to give them a three-round total of 911.
The Tigers had two golfers finish in the top 10 with Julia Potter taking fourth place and senior Chelsea Schriewer claiming a tie for sixth. Potter shot a 72 in the final round and finished with a three-round total of 220. Schriewer carded a 76 on Sunday for a final score of 222 for the weekend.
Junior Michelle Morgan tied for 22nd place with a 54-hole total of 222, while freshman Hannah Lovelock and sophomore Lindsey Haupt finished among a group tied for 50th with final totals of 241. Freshman Jacque Bardgett, competing as an individual in the tournament, shot a 76 on Sunday and finished tied for 42nd place with a three-round total of 232.
Next up for Mizzou is the Johnie Imes Invitational, which is hosted by the Tigers at The Club at Old Hawthorne Sept. 29-30.
