The Tigers, the 16th seed in the 21 team field, carded a round of 305 on day one at the UGA Golf Course and is one shot out of the top 10, as New Mexico stands 10th with a 304 score on Thursday.

The individual leader is Sara Maude Juneau of Louisville, who shot a five-under-par 67 in round one.
"It was a windy day here," MU Head Coach Stephanie Priesmeyer said. "We leaked away a few shots, but I'm happy where we are. We need to avoid giving away shots in order to stay in contention."
The top eight teams in the field and the top three individual finishers who are not members of the advancing teams will qualify for the NCAA Championships on May 20-23 in Albuquerque, N.M.
The second round of the East Regional will be played on Friday, with the Tigers teeing off with the morning grouping. The final round is scheduled for Saturday.
