Mizzou Eliminated from Big 12 Championship

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - - Mizzou was eliminated from the Big 12 Championship after falling to Texas A&M by a score of 6-2 on Saturday at Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City, Okla. The Tigers finish 1-2 at the Big 12 Tournament for the second-straight season.
Junior Steve Gray was the only Tiger to have multiple hits on Saturday, finishing 2-for-4 on the day.
Kyle Colligan hit his 10th home run of the season in the third inning to give the Aggies a 1-0 lead. Texas A&M then scored four times in the fifth inning, including an RBI base hit by Colligan and a three-run homer from Big 12 Conference Player of the Year Jose Duran.
Missouri's (38-19) two runs came on a pair of solo home runs. Sophomore Greg Folgia led off the top of the eighth with his fifth homer of the year. Folgia extended his hitting streak to five games with the home run.
In the ninth, Gray connected on his ninth home run of the season, sending a shot over the rightfield bullpen.
The Tigers had a pair of runners on in the first and fourth inning, but were unable to push any across the plate.
Texas A&M (43-16) starter Barret Loux struck out five and gave up just four hits in 6.1 scoreless innings pitched.
Junior Ian Berger allowed five runs, four of which were earned, on four hits in six innings, falling to 4-5 on the year.
The Tigers now await an anticipated sixth-straight selection to the NCAA Tournament when the field of 64 is announced at 11:30 a.m. on Monday.
