
Incoming Tiger Bailey Gee Reaps in Honors

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Bailey Gee, an incoming recruit for the Missouri women's basketball team, was named the 2008 Miss Kansas Basketball by the Kansas Basketball Coaches Association and earned EA SPORTS All-America second team honors.
EA SPORTS recognizes not only the nation's most talented players, but also those who perform in the classroom and help lead their teams to league and state championships that leave a lasting legacy at their high school and in their communities.
Gee, who hails from Andover, Kan., averaged 21.7 ppg., 8.5 rpg., 2.2 spg., 2.0 apg. and shot 61.0 percent from the field as a senior for Andover Central High School in 2008, where she helped the Jaguars to a perfect 26-0 record and the Kansas Class 4A title. As a junior in 2006-07, Gee averaged 20.5 ppg., 7.7 rpg. and 2.8 spg. as Andover Central posted a 23-3 mark and placed third in the state tournament.
Along with fellow signee Kendra Frazier, Gee was named to the All-State Big Six team, which recognizes the top six players in the state. She is also a two-time Kansas Class 4A first team honoree after earning second team and honorable mention honors as a sophomore and freshman, respectively.
Off the basketball court, Gee earned all-league first team honors in volleyball in 2005 and 2006 and finished seventh in the high jump at the state meet in 2005, 2006 and 2007.
