Hello Tiger fans, I am once again late with the Blog and I apologize. I kind of forgot since we have been on break the last few days.
Break has gone really well. Hanging with the family, visiting friends, and working out at the local gym has pretty much consumed the last few days for me. The local gym has accommodated me very well and has let me work out there for next to nothing, and they have a wonderful facility complete with everything I need. I have enjoyed a few miles of cardio each day, as well as laps in the pool and some stretching in the sauna. I have really enjoyed working out with my brother who plays football at Lindenwood University. Although we are on two completely different workout schedules, as he is trying to get as big as he can, and I am just trying to maintain strength and size, we have still managed to complement each other well in the weight room. Todd Porter has also joined us a few times as well. That works out very well, because he and I are on the same plan.
Today was a good training day for me. I met 2X All-American Tyron Woodley, one of my old teammates and coaches at a personal training center at 9:15 am, and his personal trainer put us through a really challenging circuit. The circuit was low weight with high reps for more of a muscular endurance workout, and his trainer gave us both a full body stretch at the end. After we lifted for about an hour and a half, we went up to his MMA Gym in St. Charles to get on the mats for a wrestling workout. I always love working out with Tyron, he is very knowledgeable and he is a very good training partner.
I am down to the last 36 hours at home. I'm probably going up to the gym later to do a little more cardio and maybe even swim. We are going to celebrate our Christmas tomorrow night and I think my dad and I may even bake Christmas cookies again. I think last year me, dad, and my brother Mathew baked 12 dozen, we may see if we can top it this year.
