- With just under four minutes to go in the first quarter Missouri freshman DB Kenji Jackson snagged his second career interception from Kansas junior QB Todd Reesing. Jackson gained nine yards after the interception before being taken down. He recorded his first interception on Sept. 20, 2008 against Buffalo, a 25-yard return…
- Mizzou pulled to within 10-7 at the 10:19 mark of the second quarter as QB Chase Daniel hit TE Chase Coffman on a five-yard TD pass. It was the eighth TD reception of 2008 for Coffman, and the 31st TD pass of the year for Daniel. Coffman, a Mackey Award finalist, played sparingly in the first half due to the lingering effects of his turf toe injury, and ended the half with two catches for 17 yards…
- Stryker Sulak recorded his 7.5 sack of the season, his 19.5 sack of his career. Sulak bagged Reesing for an 11-yard loss with under eight minutes to go in the first half. Sulak had two tackles on the day, totaling 17 yards for loss…
- Saturday, Oct. 18, 2008 was the last time Missouri didn't score in the first quarter. That game against Texas and this week against Kansas mark the only two times this season Mizzou has been held to zero points in the first quarter… The Tigers have scored 10 points or less in the first half just three times this season, including today. Missouri has averaged over 24 points in the first half this season, holding opponents to an average of 11 first-half points…
- With 8:14 to go in the third quarter sophomore WR Jeremy Maclin scored his 11th touchdown reception of the year. The score marks a new Missouri single-season touchdown reception record. The previous record was held by Sean Coffey who grabbed 10 touchdown catches in 2004… Maclin now has 20 career touchdown receptions…
- Junior DL Jaron Baston snagged his first career interception in the third quarter. Baston returned Reesing's pass for five yards. He also recorded one tackle on the day…
- Daniel's 35-yard touchdown pass to receiver Tommy Saunders ties the record for Missouri's shortest scoring drive. The single-pass marked the sixth time in school history Mizzou has scored on a drive lasting six seconds, the shortest drives recorded… The touchdown was Saunders sixth of the season…
- Missouri played its least penalized game of the season losing only nine yards on three penalties. Previously, Missouri recorded two penalties for 10 yards against Colorado, Oct. 25, 2008.
- Daniel bested his previous career and season rushing mark. Today, Daniel accumulated 103 yards rushing, improving on his previous best of 89 (vs. Ole Miss, 2006). Daniel also had his longest single game run, at 48 yards in the first quarter (previous best was 39 against Western Michigan in 2007).
