Tigers Head To Lawrence For Two Days

The No. 18 Missouri women's swimming and diving team heads to Lawrence, Kan., for two busy days of competition. The Tigers will open their dual season against the defending conference champion No. 9 Texas A&M Aggies on Thursday night, beginning at 6 p.m. CT, and will take on the rest of the conference in the Big 12 Relays on Friday, starting at 9 a.m. CT.

Last Time They Met

Last season, the Tigers were defeated by the Aggies in Ames, Iowa by a score of 158-116. The Tigers took titles in both diving events, the 100 breast and the 500 free.

(The First) Battle of the Big 12

Following the season-opening dual with Texas A&M, Missouri will join together with the rest of the conference's teams for the Big 12 Relays. Last season, Missouri's women placed third with 67 points.

Welcome to the Big Show

Mizzou freshmen got their first taste of NCAA action last Saturday with the Show Me Showdown, and many shined in their Tiger debut. Kayla Durnil posted a runner-up finish in the 100 breast (1:07.00), while also earning tie for third-place in the 50 breast (31.43) and claiming fourth in the 200 IM (2:09.39). Lisa Nathanson took first place in the 50 free, finishing in 23.98. Stephanie Rovig put in strong performances in the 50 free (24.93) and 50 back (28.69), while Jordan Morcom scored the most points in the 1-meter diving team scramble for the Tigers.
