Oct. 2, 2008

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The No. 24 University of Missouri soccer team returns home to Walton Stadium with a pair of Big 12 Conference matchups. The Tigers (6-3, 1-1) face No. 21 Colorado (8-0-1, 2-0-1) on Friday at 6:30 p.m. before a 1 p.m. contest on Sunday against Texas Tech (6-3-1, 1-2).

Mizzou opened conference action on Sept. 26 with a 3-0 victory over Iowa State in Ames, Iowa. Junior Kristin Andrighetto notched two goals, both on assists from classmate Michelle Collins, and sophomore Alysha Bonnick added another in the 85th minute to close out scoring.

Two days later, the Tigers could not get past Nebraska as the Huskers claimed a 3-2 double-overtime victory in Lincoln, Neb. Freshman Mallory Stipetich got Missouri on the board first in the 32nd minute but Nebraska tied the game five minutes later.

A goal by Bonnick in the 79th minute briefly reclaimed the lead for Mizzou but the Huskers scored with less than two minutes left in regulation to send the game into overtime.

After a scoreless first overtime session, Nebraska scored the golden goal in the 107th minute for the win.
