The Missouri men's and women's swimming and diving teams will open their season by hosting the fourth annual Show Me Showdown Saturday at the Mizzou Aquatic Center. The first session is set to begin at 11 a.m., while the second session with start at 3 p.m. Admission to the event is free.
Joining the No. 18 women and No. 21 men's teams in the pool will be five other squad from around the state: Drury, Lindenwood, Missouri S&T, Stephens College and Washington University.
The Mizzou men and women have won the Show Me Showdown title each of the past three years.

General Information
Individual Events: Each team may score their top two swims in each event. Top 16 places score:16-15-14-13-12-11-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1.
Relay: Each team's “A” relay will score. The coach will need to designate the “A” relay before the start of the event. Scoring will be 9-7-6-5-4-3-2-1.
1-Meter Diving: Each team will do a diving scramble to try and score the largest point total. Each member on the team will do six dives covering all five groups with true degree of difficulty. The points from each diving groups highest scorer will count toward the team total score. The best score per diving group (front, back, reverse, inward, twist, 6th opt.) will count towards the total.
3-Meter Diving: Each diver will be required to do six dives from all five groups. No matter what first three dives the divers choose the degree of difficulty will be set at 1.8. The remaining three dives will be of true degree of difficulty.
