Columbia, Mo. - Mizzou Basketball opened practice on the 2008-09 campaign on Friday as the team hosted a two-hour practice on the main floor of Mizzou Arena.
Head Coach Mike Anderson and his staff took the Tigers through the workout, which focused heavily on conditioning in first hour, before breaking up into individual/position group instruction in the second portion.
The Tigers entered the first practice of the season in good shape, aided by the fact that the team has been going through morning workouts and strength and conditioning sessions for weeks. The team also got an early jump on the season thanks to its three-game preseason exhibition tour in Niagara Falls, Ontario.
Also of note, legendary Tiger Head Coach Norm Stewart attended the workout session, sitting in the stands on the south side of the Arena.
Mizzou will practice twice on Saturday before breaking to watch the Tiger Football team battle No. 1 Texas Saturday evening in Austin.
