Columbia, Mo. - The Missouri softball team announced today that it will play six home games this fall beginning with a doubleheader Saturday, Sept. 27, at Noon on University Field.

Taking on teams from North Central College, Meramec, Jefferson County Community College, Crowder Community College, Three Rivers Community College and Johnson County Community College, the Tigers look to prepare for a successful 2009 spring campaign.

Eighteen members of Missouri's 2008 NCAA Regional Championship team return for the 2009 season, with four newcomers looking to add power to an already strong squad.

Missouri will square off with North Central College Saturday, Sept. 27 at Noon and continue the day with a 2 p.m. (CT) game against Meramec.

On Saturday, Oct. 4, the Tigers will return to the field for a Noon contest with Jefferson Country followed by a 2 p.m. (CT) game with Crowder Community College.

Fall competition will conclude on Saturday, Oct. 11, when Missouri takes on Three Rivers Community College at Noon and Jefferson County Community College at 2 p.m.

Entrance for all six games is free.
