COLUMBIA, Mo. - Get your putters and drivers ready! The Missouri women's basketball team is headed for A.L. Gustin Golf Course on Friday, Sept.19 for the second annual Sixth Stripe Golf Tournament, hosted by the official booster club of Mizzou women's basketball, the Sixth Stripe Club. Registration starts at 11:30 a.m. and shotgun start for golf is at 12:30 p.m.

The tournament is a four-person scramble plus a celebrity teammate. Great food and fun are included in this full day event. Cash prizes will be awarded to the winners, as well as longest drive and closest to the pin contests for both men and women. The tournament will also have a silent auction with many great items, including a signed football by Head Coach Gary Pinkel, autographed basketball by Head Coach Mike Anderson, autographed basketball by former Tiger LaToya Bond, a golf bag and many more great items. After the tournament a basketball autographed by the 2008-2009 Mizzou women's basketball team and a barbeque hosted by Hoss's Market & Rotisserie will be raffled off.

"Our golf tournament is our major fundraiser but it is also a great time to re-connect with so many people that are important to our program," said Missouri Head Coach Cindy Stein. "We will have boosters, community leaders, former players, staff and alumni at the outing. We love having it and we have had such great support and help in bringing it all together."
