Mizzou Places Three on All-Midwest Region Team

June 10, 2008

The Missouri baseball team had three members named to the 2008 All-Midwest Region Team, as selected by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA). Aaron Crow was a first team honoree, while Jacob Priday and Aaron Senne earned second team recognition.

Crow was 13-0 on the year, setting a new school record for wins in a season. He led the Big 12 and was sixth in the nation with 127 strikeouts and is a finalist for the Golden Spikes Award, the Clemens Award and the Dick Howser Trophy. Last week, he was selected by the Washington National with the ninth overall pick in the Major League Baseball Draft.

Priday had 16 home runs for Missouri this season and concluded his four-year career with 49 homers, which set a new school record. Priday also set new MU records for career RBI (240) and extra base hits (112). He was picked by the Houston Astros in the 11th round of last week's MLB Draft.

Senne led the Tigers with a .347 batting average in 2008. He also led the squad in RBI (67) and on-base percentage (.461) and was second in hits (75), runs scored (51) and home runs (13). Senne has been invited to the USA Baseball National Team trials, which begin this week.
