Missouri junior Colleen Gordon (Missouri City, Texas) has been invited to participate in the USA Swimming National Open Water Select Camp. Running May 28-31 in Ft. Meyers Fla., Gordon is one of only 12 women invited to train for open water competition. A total of 24 individuals were selected, including 12 males from across the country.

The four-day camp includes water workouts, lake workouts and the National 5K swim set for Friday, May 30, at Noon (CT).

The Missouri school record holder in the 200-free (1:48.31), 500-free (4:45.78) and 800-free relay (7:11.18), Gordon also owns top-10 times in the 100-fly, 200 IM, 400 IM, 1650 and 100-free.

The 2008 Missouri swimming Most Valuable Player will be joined by Tiger Head Coach Brian Hoffer at the Swimming National Open Water Select Camp.
