Limited Spaces Remain for Women's Basketball Camps

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Missouri Women's Basketball's 2008 Girl's Summer Camps have limited space remaining for five different camps for various experience levels. The camps run through mid-June until late July.

Space is still available for both sessions of the Individual Camps on June 15-18 and July 12-15, Team Camp on June 20-22, Position Camp on June 27-28, Elite Camp on June 27-28 and Day Camp on July 21-24.

Youth grades 1-8 are invited to the Day Camp, which focuses on teaching fundamental skills and basic strategy, while children in grades six and up can take part in the Individual and Position camps.

Those at the Individual Camp will work in improve their overall fundamental skills and increase their enjoyment of the game while the Position Camp will give attendees extensive guard or post instruction.

The Elite Camp is open to those in grade eight and up and is designed for serious-minded players who want to learn advanced fundamental skills and who would like to compete at the college level.

The Team Camp, which requires at least eight players on each team, allows teams to play against competition from other states, conferences and classification levels.

Coached by the Mizzou women's basketball staff and student-athletes, all camp sessions are held on the campus of the University of Missouri. Camps will be held on several on-campus facilities, including the Mizzou Arena, which has been recognized as one of the finest on-campus basketball facilities in the nation.
