FIRST PITCH
No. 4 Mizzou will play a pair of midweek games in O'Fallon, Mo. this week, taking on Eastern Illinois on Tuesday and Southern Illinois on Wednesday. Both games will be played at T.R. Hughes Ballpark with first pitch set for 6:30 p.m.
The Tigers are 28-10 on the season and 9-6 in the Big 12 Conference after claiming a series win at Oklahoma last weekend.
MU-EIU SERIES HISTORY
The only previous meetings between Missouri and Eastern Illinois came in a three-game series in 1990. The Tigers won that series 2-1.
EIU won the opener of the three-game set by a score of 8-7 before Mizzou claimed 8-6 and 20-13 wins to capture the series victory.
MU-SIU SERIES HISTORY
Mizzou holds a 14-13 lead in the all-time series with Southern Illinois. The last time the two teams met, SIU took a 7-0 win over the Tigers in O'Fallon in 2006.
The first time MU faced the Salukis was in 1973, when the two teams split a two-game set.
MIZZOU MOVES UP TO FOURTH IN BASEBALL AMERICA POLL
Mizzou moved up to No. 4 in this week's Baseball America poll, released on Monday.
The Tigers climbed to No. 2 in the March 24th poll, its highest ever mark.
MU finds itself ranked ninth in NCBWA poll. The Tigers are 10th in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches' poll and are 11th in the Collegiate Baseball's Top 30.
LAST TIME OUT
Mizzou took two-of-three from Oklahoma last weekend, winning its first series in Norman, Okla. since 1971.
The Tigers rallied for a 9-4 win in the opener of the three-game series on Friday. Trailing 4-1, Missouri scored five runs in the seventh inning, then put three runs on the board in the eighth.
Sophomore Greg Folgia drove in a career-best four runs on a 3-for-5 outing. Junior Aaron Crow moved to 9-0 on the year, allowing four runs on seven hits in 7.2 innings pitched.
MU clinched the series win by a 6-5 win in 10 innings on Saturday. It was the Tigers' first extra-inning game of the year.
In the top of the 10th inning, junior Steve Gray delivered an RBI double to drive in the go-ahead run and freshman Nick Tepesch retired the side in order in bottom of the 10th to seal the victory.
Mizzou dropped the finale by a score of 22-4, getting run-ruled for the first time since March of 2007. It was the most runs allowed by MU since 1998 and marked the most runs allowed by the Tigers in a Big 12 game.

This weekend, the Tigers will travel to College Station, Texas for a three-game set with Texas A&M. Game one of the weekend series will get underway at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, with games to follow at 2 p.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m. on Sunday. The finale of the series will be televised on FSN.
